Construction work begins on new Volkswagen retailer in Lisburn

Work has now begun on a brand new state-of-the-art Volkswagen car dealership in Lisburn. 

Phillips (Lisburn) Ltd, a multi award winning dealership currently situated on the Ballynahinch Road in the city, is moving to a new (prime) location adjacent to Dobbies Garden Centre on the Saintfield Road.
 

Once completed, the new dealership will feature a 10 car showroom and attached workshop  as well as ancillary office and staff accommodation, incorporating the latest digital technology throughout. 

Graham Phillips, Managing Director of Phillips (Lisburn) Ltd, which has been trading for more than 50 years, stated “This is a substantial multi million pound investment by the company which will enable us to continue to effectively serve the city of Lisburn and surrounding area. It will allow the company to display and maintain the ever growing range of Volkswagen vehicles and also secure the future of our loyal staff which currently consists of more than 20 people.” 

Peter Long, Sales Manager and Roy Patterson, Aftersales Manager at Phillips Volkswagen said that they were “delighted with the support from the local council throughout the planning application stages of this development.” They went on to state, “We would like to thank all our sales and service customers for their continued loyalty and support and also our dedicated and highly experienced staff, many of whom have been with us for more than 30 years. Work is currently underway at the Saintfield Road site and the new dealership is scheduled to be open for business by the summer of 2016.
