ID.3 upgrades via WeConnect Whether navigation or smart air conditioning – with We Connect, you can continue to upgrade your new ID.3 with completely new functions even after you have purchased it.
Memory Function for Park Assist Plus Now you can teach your ID.3 to perform recurring parking manoeuvres. The memory function for the optional Park Assist Plus is capable of saving up to 5 unique parking manoeuvres and can then repeat them independently under your supervision. At Volkswagen, IQ.DRIVE stands for all intelligent driver assistance systems. If you choose the Park Assist Plus with the memory function, your ID.3 is capable of identifying parallel parking spaces at a speed of up to 24 mph and parking bays at a speed of up to 12 mph. In addition, you can teach your car up to five individual parking manoeuvres. The memory function records parking manoeuvres at speeds below 24 mph with a distance of up to 50 metres. For example, when you park your car in a carport or a garage. You only have to park your Volkswagen once yourself and then save the parking manoeuvre. Afterwards, your ID.3 is capable of repeating the parking manoeuvre on its own. You only have to supervise the parking manoeuvre and intervene if necessary.
Augmented Reality Head up Display High-tech meets reality: Digital information, such as direction arrows from the optional navigation system, is projected onto part of the windscreen. Now you have the directions displayed directly within your field of vision, in conjunction with the standard navigation system: Your ID.3 lets you keep an eye on the important things. The augmented reality head-up display is part of the optional interior package and projects important information onto the windscreen directly into your field of vision. This information includes your current speed or important road signs. In addition, with the standard navigation system, the augmented reality technology also enables you to see virtual direction arrows on the road surface. Now, these are even better integrated into the environment and are displayed exactly where you would drive or need to turn. This helps you to reach your destination with less stress and without your eyes leaving the road. In addition to displaying the optional, assisted lane change thanks to Travel Assist, the augmented reality head-up display also shows new symbols such as roundabouts, the distance to your destination and also the battery’s charge level (state of; SOC).
New Improved Exterior Full-width bumpers, exciting new colours such as Dark Olivine Green Metallic, together with sophisticated front details, perfectly give the new ID.3 a fresh new face without losing the iconic look of the ID. family. The bonnet features a sharper profile and demonstrates that even good design can always get better. - for example with newly designed tail light clusters with optional dynamic turn signals are another striking example. The innovative IQ.LIGHT LED-matrix-headlights further highlight this impression.
